While I am a Democrat, I'm not very pleased with our current 2 party system - the slogans may be different, but the outcomes always fall short of promises. Lobbyists write legislation to suit their corporate clients and our congress men and women put their name on it. Open government doesn't mean that government is open for business with corporate lobbyists. This is an especially important year in the USA, whether we vote to give President Obama another 4 years in office, or if we vote to try out a new man for the job.
